A female doctor from Afghanistan was selected as the recipient of this year's UN Refugee Agency's Refugee Award.



Dr. Salima Lehman, who talks about dreams and hopes to countless refugees and girls around the world, was interviewed by Hyeyoung Kim, the first Korean broadcaster.

Doctor Salima Lehman was born 29 years ago in a refugee camp in Atok, Pakistan, after his Afghan parents fled.



In recognition of her dedication to refugees as the first female doctor from this refugee camp, she became a recipient of the UNHCR Nansen Refugee Award in Asia.

It was not easy for an Afghan refugee woman to get an education, but she was able to overcome it with the strength of her family.
